Midweek Musings

Oufit perfection I stumbled across on a standard Wednesday night procrastination session. Since the weather has warmed up a bit, my uniform of choice has become mini skirts and jumpers. The perfect combination- enough coziness provided by the warmth of a fine knit, balanced out with bare legs that evoke the freedom of summer.

Now back to my thesis.

Bonds Flagship Bondi Store Opening

I am one of those people who loves staying up late- which doesn't always sit well when I'm also forced to wake up early (obvs). It's those days when I admit, I usually end up wearing my go-to stripes. Hence, my current room situation, where my chair literally had a whole pile of stripes. My addiction is no joke.
Even the new friends I made in Europe commented on my love of stripes- but they were necessary in Paris and for channelling gondoliers in Venice... Basically stripes can always be justified.

My fave stripy piece at the moment is definitely my Bonds Bestie tee. On the topic of Bonds (I am one of their style ambassadors - have you read my interview here?), you can pick up plenty of great basics at the grand opening of the Bonds Flagship Store at Bondi on Wednesday 17 October!  See you there!

S.P.R.I.N.G

It's September 1st which means a few things:

1. It's time to bring back out the colours! So excited for warmer weather. Loving my new Bonds running shorts (the cutest mint green!) and these fun socks, reflecting my love for my favourite fruit!

2. New edition of Miss Vogue! Love the dreamy editorials and refreshing features. 'Vantage Points' and 'Emoji Etiquette' are so on point!

3. My honours thesis is officially due NEXT MONTH. Actually have no idea how those 20 000 words are going to be completed by then...

Happy Monday!

London Calling Part 2

It's so rainy and cold in Sydney right now that I could easily be in London!
Our final few days were spent trying to tick off as much as possible on our British to-do list! We went for an early morning run in Islington, which is such a great way to explore the city! Brunch at The Breakfast Club was also amazing- such a cute fit out, and one of the best green juices I've tried! We also did quite a bit of shopping- my fave stores being H&M (of course!), &Other Stories, Topshop and Kiko. We also explored Convent Gardens (the cutest little theatre district), ticked Stonehenge off the list, rode around the city on double decker red buses and ate the best 1 Pound berries and amazing salads at EAT and Pret a Manger.
Basically I had no-where near enough time to explore London (I would need weeks!), but the experience has definitely made London one of my favourite cities! Can't wait to go back!

Next up is my Paris photo diaries- Salut!

London Calling Part 1

London was such an amazing first stop on our European adventure. My 10 friends and I stayed in a lovely 3 story Air B&B apartment in the suburb of Islington, which was perfect due to the abundance of cute cafes and little boutiques (plus we were right next door to Aesop- their lip balm saved my dry lips!). We used our apartment as our base to explore London via double decker red buses and the tube. Some highlights from the first few days include seeing all the famous landmarks, fresh berries everywhere and of course shopping at Oxford Circus. There were all sorts of amazing fresh food and green juices via my new loves Pret a Manger- plus they had the best porridge ever (in my opinion anyway. Please open in Sydney!). Another highlight was the huge Topshop where I ate lunch and froyo and shopped up a storm! One thing I did discover was a lack of good coffee- that is until I stumbled across a little Australian cafe where I was majorly excited to order a flat white!
